We provide MS Access file (mdb) for raw data of certain products, to let the buyer export data from the directory to other applications such as MS Word, MS SQL, MS Outlook, MS Excel, etc.

MDB file is not required for general functions of the directory. The Infot directory manager bundled with the directory can work properly without the MDB files. Users purchase the MDB files only for export ability.

However, please be informed before you purchase the MS Access file.

1) Purchasing the MS Access file doesn't enable you distribute the original data beyond your unit. A personal buyer can not distribute the raw data to any other persons or business. A business buyer can not distribute the data beyond the company. Exporting or merging raw data into local business network, central databases, or other network-based platform require special business licenses from Infot for a fee. Exporting or merging data to databases or websites accessible to publish requires special publishing license from Infot for a fee. Printing, publishing or distribute the original data to outside in any format without written authorization or license is prohibited.

2) Original data can be too big to fit your target platform. MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word and some other applications may have a limited capacity to handle the size of the original data. 

3) Relationship between entries (companies) and categories (industries) in the MS access file may be normalized into separated tables. Understanding of "JOINING TABLES" may be required to get proper query results.

4) No technical support is provided for how to user the MDB files.

5) MDB files may be compressed in zip format and then you need a unzip tool such as "Winzip" to open the zip file.

ReachSoft Business Directory contains details on over 180,000 businesses in Ireland. This information has been obtained by direct calls and is constantly updated in-house.

The details supplied on businesses includes: company name, address, telephone number, fax number, email and website address, contact name, business category and number of employees.

You can search the directory through hundreds of business categories, all of which are classified under the Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC Coded). There are 57 Business Categories and 436 Sub Categories listed on the ReachSoft Business Directory.

For an easier search you can simply use the category keyword to identify a specific business type.

You can also search the database using the company name, address, county, area telephone code and you can even search a specific business park or industrial estate.

Search criteria

Name - the name of the company. You can type a full company name or a partial name. For example by entering a K, all companies that begin with K will be selected

Address - the first line of the address. You can type the full first line of the address or part of the line. For example by entering SA, all address that begin SA such as Saint Thomas Mead, or Sandycove, or Sallynoggin will be selected. You can also find industrial estates by entering the name of the industrial estate in the address line

County - the county in which a company is located (or select the county using the drop-down list or by clicking on the map of Ireland). If the county name is also the same as a city name, for example, Dublin or Galway, a second drop-down list is enabled from which you can select City or County. You can also type a partial county or city name, for example by entering CA, all counties that begin with CA are selected - Carlow and Cavan

Area Code - the telephone area code in which a company is located, such as 072 for Donegal

Category - the industry category for a company, such as Restaurants or Garages

Subcategory - the industry subcategory for a company

Keyword - a keyword for a company. This keyword is matched to a description of a company, for example typing the word television will select all companies that have television in their description within the RMS database

Employees (greater than) - the minimum number of staff employed by a company.
